Engaging A PR Agency

NWC has so far followed the precedent of coworking spaces that attract mainstream media attention organically. Coworking spaces, it turns out, have proven to be magnets for press.

And while we’ve gotten no shortage of media love, we put very little strategy behind what we said and who we talked to.

For our new project, we are going to pay closer attention to the role media plays in helping us achieve our mission. An interview is not just a chance to get some free advertising; it’s an opportunity to help raise awareness of the resources that exist to support the needs of people who have or seek a more independent lifestyle. 

To that end, we’ve written up an agency brief and will be reaching out to a small handful of agencies starting today. We’re hoping to find people who believe in and support what we’re doing, and who can be an active participant in our community as NWC and the organizations it houses develop and do all sorts of other media-worthy things.
